(Potamogeton nodosus)
CONTROLLING AMERICAN PONDWEED
American Pondweed or Longleaf Pondweed is a vegetation native to Eurasia and the Americas.

American Pondweed or Longleaf Pondweed is very common and if controlled can make great cover for your fish and other inhabitants of your pond.  If American Pondweed gets too aggressive or starts choking out areas of your pond your can treat it with several different herbicides.  Fluridone can be used, although spot treating with the above would be recommended.
