Although, Hyrdilla can be treated in a number of ways.  A diquat - cutrine mix can be used to spot treat. Fluridone is the best method of treatment for Hydrilla.  Hydrilla is very aggressive and can flourish very quickly.  Because of the severity and nature of Hydrilla it has been recommended to use Fluridone as treatment to prevent any further mutation of the vegetation. Spot treating Hydrilla will only cause fragmentation of the vegetation and further the spread.
